Rebecca Kitchen
Good Morning Reno Anchor

Rebecca is a fourth-generation native Nevadan. After graduating from Carson High School, she went on to pursue a broadcast degree from the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno.
KOLO has always been a part of Rebecca's life. It was the station she watched with her family around the dinner table, and the station that first taught her to love the news. Rebecca joined the KOLO 8 News Now team in 2011 as an intern. Over the past few years, she has worked her way up through various positions starting as video editor, then reporter, and now loves helping people start their day as a co-anchor on Good Morning Reno!
Throughout her career, she has covered impactful stories and memorable events, including traveling on Honor Flight Nevada with her grandfather, flying with the Blue Angels, the 2020 Reno Riots and reporting on the 2016 Little Valley Fire—coverage that earned her an Emmy nomination
Beyond the newsroom, Rebecca serves as Board President of the Veterans Guest House, reflecting her strong commitment to supporting veterans and their families. Passionate about highlighting uplifting stories and positive community impact, she is deeply involved in local events and initiatives, striving to make a difference both on and off the air.
Rebecca has a love for history and dance. When she's not at work, she is exploring the area on hikes, cooking, and waiting for winter! If you have a story idea for Rebecca, you can email her at Rebecca.Kitchen@kolotv.com.
